There are thousands of strains of probiotics that impact different areas of health. Gut Check contains cultivated strains of B. longum and B. animalis, subsp. lactis. Bifidobacterium longum is a common bacteria culture found in the intestinal tract, and is one of the initial colonizers in the GI tract in infants. Bifidobacterium lactis is also commonly found in the human gut and in dairy products. It promotes balance in the intestinal tract and supports the immune system, as well.*

Digestive Health

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study found subjects taking Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis experienced a positive increase in defecation frequency. The results suggest that consumption of Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis supports GI health.
